Electric Conversion

I am currently in the process of converting a 1994 Subaru Sambar truck to electric power. So far I have removed the engine, transmission, gas tank, bed, radiator and most other parts which will not be necessary. I am planning to keep the conversion simple and inexpensive and hope to do a bigger conversion in the future.

I am planning to use a 72 volt DC system with 6 volt lead acid golf cart batteries and a DC motor with approximately 12-16 hp continuous output.
